The Challenge

MathSTEM’s rollout begins in the DMV Metro area, with an initial focus on Washington, D.C. Wards 5, 6, and 7, Alexandria, VA, and the Maryland communities of Easton and Annapolis. Following the completion of our curriculum development, MathSTEM will provide direct tutoring to children in these neighborhoods. This pilot phase will allow us to rigorously test our methodology, curriculum, and lesson plans in real-world settings. Insights from this community-based tutoring will guide the integration of our mobile STEM buses and our Beef Up App, ensuring that both innovations are responsive, adaptive, and rooted in the needs of the students we serve.

The Approach

Our strategic plan requires partnership with organizations that share confidence in our methodology and execution. The traditional brick-and-mortar business model is gradually being replaced. Moreover, reaching students in underserved communities remains an ongoing challenge, especially regarding access to affordable tutoring support. This underscores the need for free and accessible mobile classrooms, as well as engaging in math learning applications that provide an alternative to conventional, standardized classroom instruction and support for educators.

Securing funding will enable us to integrate compelling storytelling, innovative space design, and effective branded messaging. Through these efforts, we aim to transform pivotal moments into sustained momentum, fostering future impact and building stronger connections within our community.
