At MathSTEM, our students are defined by their unique ability to learn math in their own language. Equations are filled with variables and every child has what it takes to solve them. Dr. Elbert Frank Cox mentored over 40 mathematicians. We are proud to continue his legacy.

Our programs and projects are designed to enhance math education for K–6 students. We provide innovative and engaging learning experiences that strengthen understanding and build confidence. Our team of trained educators and mentors is dedicated to making math learning fun, accessible, and meaningful for every student.
Math Lounge
Mobile tutoring Classroom for private, group, and E-Learning math sessions for students K-6 by appointments in your community at your local libraries, Day Care, Camps, pop ups, parties, and festivals.
Beef Up
A creative math learning web app that uses, real world, career-connected gaming tools to actively teach and reinforce fundamental and advanced level math concepts.
High School and College Student led math program to inspire, inform, and empower youths about math across all academic disciplines that will encourage STEM careers.
The Cox130 Series is a college student‑led math program designed to inspire, inform, and empower young learners by showing how mathematics connects to every academic discipline and future STEM career. Through storytelling, demonstrations, presentations, music, dance, and song, Cox130 brings math to life in creative and culturally grounded ways. Rooted in STEM inspiration and centered in mathematics, the program provides a powerful mirror; showing students that people who look like them grow into higher learning, college pathways, and thriving STEM careers.
Rise & Shine
Providing hybrid math support for educators and K–6 students in public schools throughout the DMV and beyond, with intentional focus on students attending FARMs‑eligible schools.
