About the event
1st Annual Cox130 Legacy Tribute Brunch
(In-Person/Virtual)
On September 26, 1925, Dr. Elbert Frank Cox made history by becoming the first Black person in the world to earn a Ph.D. in mathematics, receiving his degree from Cornell University. Exactly 100 years later, the MathSTEM Foundation soft-launched to honor his groundbreaking legacy and empower future generations in STEM.
Join us for the 1st Annual Cox130 Legacy Tribute Brunch as we commemorate what would have been Dr. Cox’s 131st birthday and celebrate extraordinary achievements in STEM during America’s and Phi Beta Kappa’s 250th year.
