As the grandson of Dr. Elbert Frank Cox, the first Black person in the world to earn a PhD in mathematics, speaks to his parents in the front row on about his math experience. Their presence marked a powerful continuation and approval of legacy. Through MathSTEM Foundation, that legacy now lives on, preparing students in grades K–6 with a stronger mathematical foundation as they transition into middle school and beyond.
